European Union's High Representative for Foreign Affairs appreciated our exhibition
A delegation led by Catherine Ashton, European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice- President of the European Commission paid a visit to the Expo and the Hungarian Pavilion on August 30.
They were welcomed by Deputy Consul General of Hungary to Shanghai Mr. Mihaly Istvan Geiger，Deputy Commissioner General of the Hungarian Pavilion Cecilia Szilas ，Deputy Director of the pavilion Katalin Szöllősi and other pavilion leaders. Ashton was impressed by the "city forest" and the Gomboc in the pavilion. After the visit she signed in the visitors’ book to congratulate the colleagues and friends of Hungary and praised the Hungarian Pavilion as "a miraculous combination of simplicity of message and mathematical genius".

Ashton’s visit is a prelude to Hungary’s EU presidency. Hungary will be the next presiding country of the European Union in the first half year of 2011. Catherine Ashton is the European Union's first high representative for foreign policy under the Lisbon Treaty.
